Press Release for www.CharityExhibitions.org
Ever wanted to see just how good you are at pool? Well, your opportunity has arrived!
Former World Champion, Carl Morris is rolling into town, and will be making an appearance at Midsummer Place Shopping Centre, Milton Keynes from Friday 12th until Sunday 14th June and again from Friday 21st until Sunday 23rd August especially to give the public the opportunity to beat the world’s leading pool players and win anything from a signed photo certificate to a holiday for two to Brazil, USA or South Africa or even a car!!!
Carl Morris, who is profoundly deaf and has a Hearing Dog called Ingle, said: “Before I had Ingle, life wasn’t easy, especially as a professional pool player since I was always surrounded by groups of people, and I found it difficult. Since I have had Ingle, my life has changed for the better - I am now more confident and the most important thing is I have total independence.”
Funds raised on the day will be going to Hearing Dogs for Deaf People. This innovative and unique way of fundraising gives something in return to those who donate.
The public can play the professional for a minimum donation of £3.00. There will also be reports of the event after on ww.charityexhibitions.org
Jenny Moir, Press Officer for Hearing Dogs, said: “What ‘CharityExhibitions’ are doing is an innovation and unique way to fundraise, and we are very pleased that they are doing this for Hearing Dogs. Hearing Dogs change lives. They alert their deaf owners to sounds we take for granted, providing greater independence, confidence and security. Most are selected from rescue centres
or donated as unwanted pets.”
Over 650,000 people in the UK are severely or profoundly deaf and could benefit from a hearing dog. So, if you fancy your chances of beating a professional, why not come along and pit your skills against them but, win or lose, the true winner will be the charity, and your generosity will have helped to make a difference!
